RRB ALP Syllabus 2026 of Aptitude test CBAT

Here is the full syllabus and structure for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot CBAT (Psycho Test). This test consists of five specific "test batteries" designed to measure your mental suitability for the Assistant Loco Pilot role.
RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Syllabus of Aptitude test

1. Memory Test
This battery evaluates your ability to recall information quickly and accurately. In the Map Memory task, you must study a map and later identify the exact locations of buildings on a test page. The Figure Matching task requires you to find an identical figure from several options. Additionally, the Station Memory task involves memorizing a railway map and recalling station placements.

2. Following Directions Test
This test measures how well you comprehend and execute instructions. One version uses a pattern of letters where you must answer questions about how directions change within that pattern. Another version uses a circular arrangement of letters and numbers where you must determine orientations based on a central point.

3. Depth Perception Test
This section assesses your ability to judge distances and spatial relationships. In the Brick Test, you are shown a pile of bricks with certain ones labeled; you must count how many other bricks are physically touching the labeled brick. Another task involves counting blocks in a pile that have all their corners and sides hidden by other blocks.

4. Test of Power of Observation
This measures your ability to quickly observe and compare data under a strict time limit. You may be asked to compare two large numbers and state if they are identical or different. Another task requires searching through groups of digits to find the number "6".

5. Perceptual Speed Test
This evaluates how rapidly you can process visual data to match figures. Candidates are given a target figure and must quickly locate its identical match from a set of five similar-looking options.

While this stage is qualifying, it is highly competitive because 30% of your final merit score is derived from your performance here, with the remaining 70% coming from your marks in CBT-2 Part-A.
