Important Marking Scheme (As per Notification)
- Negative Marking: A penalty of 1/3rd (0.33) marks will be applied for every incorrect answer.
- Paper 1 Rule: General Language is Qualifying only. Candidates must score at least 30% separately in English and Hindi.
- Merit Calculation: The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper 2 (GS) and Paper 3 (Aptitude) only.
- Interview: As per clause 5(i), there is No Interview for this recruitment.

1. General Studies (Syllabus Details)
This section focuses on broad awareness with a special emphasis on Bihar State:
- General Science: Basic understanding of everyday science.
- History: Indian History and major features of Bihar's History.
- Geography: Physical features, rivers, and natural resources of India and Bihar.
- Polity & Economy: Indian Constitution, governance, and the economic landscape of Bihar post-independence.
- Freedom Struggle: National Movement and Bihar's significant contribution.
2. General Aptitude (Numerical & Reasoning)
- Number Systems: Computation of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Arithmetic: Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Average, Interest (SI/CI), Profit & Loss.
- Reasoning: Analogies, similarities & differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, and analysis.
- Visual Memory: Discrimination, observation, and relationship concepts.
- Series: Arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, and coding-decoding.
3. General Language (Hindi & English)
- English (30 Marks): Comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

BPSC AEDO पाठ्यक्रम (Syllabus) 2026 in Hindi:-
1. सामान्य भाषा:- सामान्य अंग्रेजी एवं सामान्य हिन्दी के प्रश्न इस तरह के होंगे कि अभ्यर्थी की भाषा संबंधी प्रयोग की समझदारी की जाँच की जा सके।
2. सामान्य अध्ययन:-
- सामान्य विज्ञान
- राष्ट्रीय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय महत्व की समसामयिक घटनाएं (Current Affairs)।
- भारत का इतिहास तथा बिहार के इतिहास की प्रमुख विशेषताएं।
- सामान्य भूगोल, बिहार के प्रमुख भौगोलिक प्रभाग तथा यहाँ की महत्वपूर्ण नदियाँ।
- भारत की राज्य व्यवस्था और आर्थिक व्यवस्था।
- आजादी के पश्चात् बिहार की अर्थव्यवस्था के प्रमुख परिवर्तन।
- भारत का राष्ट्रीय आन्दोलन तथा इसमें बिहार का योगदान।
3. सामान्य योग्यता (General Aptitude):- * संख्या पद्धति से संबंधित प्रश्न।
- पूर्ण संख्याओं का अभिकलन।
- दशमलव और भिन्न, संख्याओं के बीच परस्पर संबंध।
- मूलभूत अंक गणितीय संक्रियाएँ, प्रतिशत, अनुपात तथा समानुपात।
- औसत, ब्याज एवं लाभ और हानि।
- सादृश्य, समानता एवं भिन्नता, स्थान कल्पना, स्थान अभिविन्यास।
- समस्या समाधान, विश्लेषण, दृश्य स्मृति, विभेद, अवलोकन, संबंध अवधारणा।
- अंक गणितीय तर्कशक्ति, शाब्दिक एवं चित्रात्मक वर्गीकरण।
- अंक गणितीय संख्या श्रृंखला, गैर-शाब्दिक श्रृंखला, कूट लेखन एवं कूट व्याख्या।
