BPSC Prosecution Officer 2026 – Important Rules from Official Notification
Before applying for BPSC Prosecution Officer Recruitment 2026, candidates must carefully read these important conditions mentioned in the official notification (Advt. 13/2026). These details are crucial for eligibility and final selection.
- Freedom Fighter Quota: 06 posts reserved for dependents of Bihar’s freedom fighters as per state government rules.
- PwBD Reservation: 4% reservation divided into specific categories – Blindness/Low Vision, Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Locomotor Disability, and Multiple Disabilities.
- 5 years upper age relaxation to Bihar government employees (maximum 5 chances)
- Preliminary Exam Qualifying Nature: Prelims marks will NOT be counted in final merit list.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks (Pre & Mains Exam): UR – 40%, BC – 36.5%, EBC – 34%, SC/ST/Women/PwBD – 32%.
- Hindi & English Papers: Qualifying only in Mains (Minimum 30 marks required).
- Exam Duration: Each Mains paper will be 3 hours.
- OTR Mandatory: One Time Registration required before applying. Details cannot be edited after submission.
- DigiLocker Integration: Document verification linked with DigiLocker and OAMS system.
- Profile Lock Rule: After profile lock, no modification allowed in application form.
- No Fee Refund: If a candidate wrongly fill online form, then they should fill new form from start. Application fee is non refundable for cancelled forms.
- Original Documents Required: Candidates must produce original certificates at verification stage.
- Scribe Facility: Available for eligible PwBD candidates as per RPWD Rules 2017.
- Women Reservation Rule: 35% reservation applicable only to Bihar domicile female candidates only.
